Starting on **June 24, we’ll be sunseting the Prepaid Mastercard product and replacing it with the new Prepaid Virtual Visa.

Changes that will go into effect on June 24:

• Campaigns still referencing the Mastercard product will be automatically updated to use the Prepaid Virtual Visa.
• The Prepaid Mastercard product will be removed from your account and API requests using its ID will fail.

We advise eligible clients to make adjustments to their integrations before the automatic change takes place to avoid disruptions. This FAQ outlines what’s changing, why, and what you may need to do to prepare.

When will the change take place?

Why are we making this change?

We’re switching to a new bank partner that enables us to support more countries and offer a more flexible prepaid card product.

What is the new product replacing Prepaid Mastercard?

The new card is called Prepaid Virtual Visa, and it’s already available for all clients with access to the Prepaid Mastercard:

• Product name: Prepaid Virtual Visa
• Product ID: V4QZ00F554D3
• Countries: 190+ countries, including the US
• Expiration window: 5 years from issue
• Denominations: $1.00 – $2,000
• Recipient fees: $3.95 per month, after 12 months of inactivity

Aside from expanded global use, it behaves just like the Mastercard card in terms of recipient experience and redemption.
